Use a VIN to request a vehicle history report

A vehicle identification number, or VIN, identifies a particular vehicle. Using the correct VIN is the starting point for requesting that car’s history rather than information about a different car with a similar year, make or model.

Where to find the VIN

Check the dashboard near the windshield, the driver’s door jamb or vehicle documents. Compare the number in more than one location before placing an order. The VIN field on this website accepts the 17-character format and excludes the letters I, O and Q. If a document or photo is unclear, verify the characters before submitting.

VIN decoding and vehicle history are different

VIN decoding describes information encoded in the identifier, such as certain vehicle attributes. It does not, by itself, provide accident records, maintenance history or an ownership timeline. A vehicle history report brings together available recorded events associated with that vehicle. VINPOSTA’s paid service is a manually supplied report, not a promise of a complete record or an instant decoding result.

Check the details before paying

Enter the VIN and a working email address, then keep the generated order number. Pay $6.99 through PayPal Goods & Services and include that number in the payment note. Submit the order so the seller receives your request. The seller manually verifies payment and emails the PDF; submitting a transaction reference alone does not confirm payment.

VIN 查询与车辆历史检查

使用 17 位 VIN 申请车辆历史记录报告。VIN 解码与事故、保养等历史记录不是同一项服务;下单前请核对车辆本体及文件上的 VIN,确保邮箱填写正确。
